philbert detailed '07 Silverstone S2000
this is the most recent detail of my '07 Silverstone, consisting of the following primary products:
- Jeff's Werkstat AutoBody Wash
- Jeff's Werkstat Prime Carnauba
- Jeff's Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger
- S100 Carnauba Wax
took advantage of the in-law's driveway and hose for the wash, and did the rest in our parking garage (open air sides). i'm really happy with the results.
clicking an image will direct you to a larger image at my smugmug site. original sizes are available there.
before shots (note brake dust and bug guts... this followed my first track day experience ):
in the garage after detailing:
these show off great reflections and "liquid" look (passenger side, which was facing east in the late afternoon/early evening):
these attempt to capture the metallic flakes as i see them in direct light (drivers side, which was facing west in the late afternoon/early evening):
metallic flakes take over on the driver's side door and fender, vs the strong reflection on the hood:
metering differences show how Silverstone can look quite different in bright light vs shade:
cheers,
phil

Track bugs come off easier! They are cool like that. What track did you do?
I love how Silverstone is very metallic, but can gloss like crazy too. Good job! BTW, your front valence looks to be in very good condition! They usually look beat and scratched up.
