Ok... this has been bugging me for a while. Can I actually add pictures from my workstation, not from an http address?

 

Yes. You can upload them to your gallery, or add them to posts as an attachment. Only Members get access to their own gallery. Top right of the screen, click on the down arrow next to your username, click 'My Gallery' and you can upload them.
