After I get this update done this week it should work a lot better. The "Bulk Upload", as it will be called, is a Java Applet so you need to be able to run Applets in your browser (FF and IE on Windows, Safari on Mac - it doesn't seem to work with FF Mac ).

It opens a popup window. You go to Explorer or Finder or whatever and Drag and Drop the files you want to upload onto the popup window.

I suggest you wait till the end of the week when the new rewritten Bulk Upload feature is installed.

After I get this initial gallery update and the search engine working smoothly I plan to add iPhoto export and Windows "Publish to the Web" features which will allow you to upload images without even having a browser. I have a code model but I still need to make it work. I'm also looking at doing MMS straight from your picture phone but haven't looked into that much yet.

There is still the whole "update the forums" thing to do. I've got the new skin about 80% done including the new header that was selected by the members. I'm waiting on the first beta of the latest forum software to come out so I can start s2kizing it. Plenty to do...

Glad to hear that - I was wondering when we were going to see the new header.

So, does this mean we're going to Version 5 or just a refresh of Version 4?

Gina - i found it was doing this. You have to WAIT while the files upload and then AFTER, until the blank window refreshes and contains text. This seems to the case when uploading a lot of images, it seems to be creating thumbnails while you wait.

Dunno if that is it Erik?

Yes, it uploads and then generates thumbnails and that takes a bit of time depending on how many images and what size they are. I talked to the people who wrote the applet and they offered to do a custom version which would indicate the end of the upload and the start of thumbnail generation (so I could offer some status) but they want $50!! Damn Indians

No - your membership expired by the look of it as you are registered as a Guest. You'll need to renew by hitting Purchase Membership within "MyS2K"

The update was released this afternoon. I checked it over as best I could but I probably missed a thing or two. If so let me know. There are quite a few changes, have a look over it
