I hate the new s2ki page format!

I haven't seen any performance change at all. But, I use this mostly at work and we've got bandwidth to burn.

I don't like the side bar or the full screen. Actually, it seems that no matter what, I can't get the screen wide enough. I'm using 1024x768 on NT.

Gray is ok with me actually.

I've been having problems with the spell-checker. The "finish button" returns a 404.

t'would appear they are using %width with a minimum width set by the top banner maybe? At 800 x 600 it is just that little bit too wide.

oh yeah,

3. The ad in the top banner has to go also. Did I mention I hate animated banner ads?

Hmmmm, I really don't like the wasted space at the left edge of the screen . I also agree with many that the grey is rather drab......

I appreciate the effort that went in to trying to improve things, and I would have gladly help with testing if I had known that there was any going on!!

Constructive comments/feedback

1) site is noticeably slower - I am on cable broadband and it takes several seconds to load a page - not sure what you can do here.
2) why are national clubs not located in clubs? S2KCA is a club...not a forum. If there is a separation between forums and clubs then I would move S2KCA to clubs
3) the left side search+ should move with the user as we scroll OR be removed. It takes up to much space. On the old site you had the search and the other links at the top. If I have to scroll to the top either way then put them in a place where it won't take up valuable real estate.
4) why the change to PPD versus total posts?
5) the club and S2KCA graphics add to the length of each post, where before they did not. Now pages are longer and takes more time to scroll - from my perspective I have to roll the wheel a little more and the carpal tunnel is kicking in today.
6) the merchandise forum - now I have to click twice to get to group buys versus one click - i know this was done to draw in more advertising, but I will end up making a favorite to that alone instead of clicking.
7) I am color blind so as long as you don't pick a dark on dark or light on light I think your color suggestions are perfect!

Thanks for all your hard work!

I am truly sorry I did not get in on the beta testing, I didn't think I would have the extra time. For the next design, count me in as a beta tester and I'll make the time. We appreciate all of your hard work and efforts, and as you know, you can't please everyone. I for one can accept the change and learn to move on with it, it will just be a new learning curve for everyone to find the things they need. IMHO, I really liked the old design and didn't see a need for a new one, but I understand that you wanted a new look to the site.

One issue I'm having though is that when I exit this site and return later, the posts showing up since the last time I visited are wrong. I miss out on some of the new posts since I last visited the site.

How do you tell if a member is online now? The old site used to have a little light bulb. If it was on the user was on. I don't see any indicators in posts now. Great feature.

If anyone knows, please PM me - I don't want to keep posting here.
