Default I hate pop up ads!

I'm a paid member on this forum, because I thought I read that I would get no pop up ads from highlighted words in the posts that I'm reading.

If there is no benefit to paid membership that eliminates these annoyances, what is my recourse?

I use Adblock Plus and don't have those issues, nor do I see any ads.

Becoming a member does get rid of the highlighted text. It is your computer/browser.

Firefox or Chrome with Ad Block. However, of late, even with Ad Block and Firefox, the ads started up again. This is new since the "maintenance" of last week. Today, however, no ads. Weird.

Pop-ups for members is BULLSH*T! Come on, guys. There is an alternative, you know. And adblock mods are not the answer -- not if you are Internet Brands. I don't run adblock because I work for a site that earns some of it's revenue from ads. I know they are necessary for a lot of sites. But when you show pop-ups to paying members, that's crossing a line.
