Thumbs up Member email attachment issue

Can't attach any files to emails when composing. I get an error message at the top - "Could not move/copy file. File not attached"

Also, the folder deletion issue is present still, in the form of Trash.foldername.

I just tried attachments and they seem to work for me

Are you using mail with only the webmail system? Have you tried setting up Outlook express to access your email with IMAP?

I just ran another test and still get the same attachment error message. I deleted some emails thinking it was an account space issue, but didn't help.

Yes, I've always used the webmail system. The reason I haven't used Outlook is that it's another application to drain my computer resources if I leave it open all the time like I do the browser window for webmail (which isn't as taxing). And other services like mail2web log me out every like 5 minutes, which gets aggravating.

Well, that's very odd indeed. What kind of file are you attaching and how big is it? Where does it fail, when you click "Add" or when you send the message? Have you tried sending a test message with a different attachment? Something like a small gif or jpeg?

** I just tried it again and it works now for some reason. Thanks for looking into it though.

Yes, before, I'd tried various different kinds of files, from .jpg to .gif to .pdf and it failed not when I tried to send the email, but before that, when I clicked on add at the bottom of the composing screen.

There was a folder permissions issue I fixed for something else. It may have been related. Glad it works. I'll try to sort out your folder deletion thing shortly.
