Thumbs down My posts/threads getting lost/deleted?

Hi,

I started noticing that threads I've written have been dissappearing a while ago, but I originally attributed it to perhaps my own thoughtlessness......

...but now I am 100% sure something is wrong.

I wrote a long thread on the Brakes forum about installing my Stoptech Trophy BBK.... I think it was titled "Stoptech Trophy BBK Installed" or something like that. I just noticed it is gone from my subscriptions, and I cannot find it anywhere in the brakes forum, which is only 2 pages long, so I shouldn't miss it.

The first thread I found suspiciously missing was a post in one of the chit-chat forums about using picture serving services like photobucket. But I thought maybe I was just using search wrong.

Today I wanted to reference a post I made of Password JDM rotors, but I couldn't find that one either...

What's going on!?!? I took a lot of time to write those Brake and Clutch comparison threads. Hours. I would be quite upset to learn they were lost.

Anyone else find their threads starting to go missing???

I just found that Stoptech thread via google:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=834900

Note that it is no longer listed in the "S2000 Brakes" forum. (Glad to know I'm not going nuts.) So, where did it go?--some kind of void?

I just tried to subscribe to it, and I got:

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

You are already subscribed to this topic or forum."

It is not currently in my subscription list.

it is in the brakes forum. click the link, it says right at the top where it is located.

if no one has posted it to it, it won't show as an active thread.

also as a tip, you can click on your own username, and then select the link to see threads. You can get your list of 1100 ish posts.

Its there man. Your viewing thing is only set to view the last 30 days of threads.

Go down to the bottom of the brakes section, and right above where the button is that says "New Topic" you will see 3 white scroll down box's horizontal across the page. The last box should say "the last 30 days" Change this to either 60, or 90 days, and then look. The last post in your thread was December 21st, and if you look in the last 30 days, it doesnt show up. Put view the last 60 days, and there you go!

where is it then? the thread it self is in the brakes forum. I bumped the thread to put it on the first page (when I looked earlier it was on page 2). For the forum as a whole you will also need to select at the bottom of the screen all threads rather than 30 or 90 days. This will get you all threads in that forum.

check your subscribed thread list now, since I bumped it, it should show on your active list.

Either I do not understand, but that thread you linked is clearly in the s2000 brakes forum. Sorry, I have no clue what is happening on your end.

yeah............. um.........

okay remember that part about me saying "or i'm an idot?"..... yeah, that's the case.

suzuka is right--i need to change the periodicy to see older threads. and apparently that's the case with topic subscriptions too--there's a drop down if you go to "topic subscriptions."

sigh. my fault. thanks you guys for the replies.

It will only re-appear in subscriptions if there is a reply to the thread since you last visited
