How about "Current Events"?

To move discussion of news stories out of OT.

Do you mean for things on the news? Like all the terrorist stuff?

 

To talk about the news, the world or any other current happenings.

Basicly to discuss what's in the news.

 

I think its a good idea, there are often ongoing news stories of national/global interest that are posted to in OT but given the number of new threads they soon end up off the front page and thus into oblivion...

 

How about News and Movies? Movies also seem to be another interesting topic that go from front page to oblivion ...

 

Or sports, racing etc...

 

I think that current events forum would be a good idea....

I find that OT is a good way to find out about certain events, but a separate forum may encourage more people to post that sort of information.....

 

I have added some... Check 'em out. They are sub-forums to OT.

 

Krazik: I posted a question in the new "current events" forum that probably warrants an answer before all hell breaks loose.

Good work - hopefully OT will be a bit "cleaner".
