Please don't troll (posting efficiency)
Don't read the boring post and get a cable modem...I did!!
And FWIW: A repeated graphic on a page has to be retrieved only one time. It is then redrawn from cache for each representation. BTW: My total sig is only 23.5K and should take less than a second to download on a 28.8 connection, if anyone still uses those!!!

I think it is the administrators jobs to get the junk posts out of car talk and into off topic. If someone is abusing by posting just to post they should be put on a posting probation and be given a chance to clean up their act. I have no problem with posting whatever you want in OT, but the car talk posts do have too much fluff, IMO.
MJ, actually in addition to the administrators, the moderators are also moving OT, or specific topics to specific forums out of Car Talk. IMO, I think we are (everyone) doing a fairly good job of keeping S2000 related in Car Talk forum and the rest in other specific forums.
Yea, I got my terminology messed up. Moderators/administrators. I agree you/they do a good job of keeping the Car Talk posts cleaned up as far as the topic of the post. But how can you control the useless responses to a true car talk post?
BTW, let me go on record as saying I love this board. I was a usenet junkie before I found this and seldom go to any newsgroups now.

Good point...but then this is the Internet...Let people express their opionions as long they are not offensive or attacking others. Would you rather see a few useless responses in Car Talk forum or would you like to see people flaming all the time? After all, these are forums - public meeting places for open discussion.
