all I am asking is for means to remove my photos by their deadline. now I will see if I can anyway - woops I didn't check first before shooting my mouth .

BUT in my opinion this still represents creeping autocracy driven by commercial profit.
me, I wouldn't mind if they'd only own up. I guess that's the one and only Superpower mentality tho.

(come on guys, react!!! we're only little englanders pissing in the wind - as you know!!!!!!)

Go on, I dare you to ban me

ei, please keep on topic

I (and many others) freely and without coercion paid up.

there was no deal at the time for annual renewal - it was invented a few months ago, with no discussion or explanation - it was imposed. just like this latest edict.

I object.

but I have no voice. and would not have, even if I renewed. so I won't.

this site is being turned into a commercial venture from being a loose friendly open community. some are benefiting and no doubt profiting.

if you cannot see this then fine. if you can see, then speak.

now please let others see this thread and react.
if you got any Qs then PM me. but at least see what is happening. Tonky does.

Listen sunshine, I was trying to help somebody out on the site that appeared to have a problem. Just because your pi$$ed off with the site admins doesn't mean you have to take that kind of attitude with other members.
I have made no comment on the subject, and object strongly to you taking that line.

Just read the other thread properly Tonky is right and I feel Krazik is missing the point..which is.........

If people have to remove their photos else lose control of them, then there will be loads of useful "how to do this etc." threads that will have little red x's in them

Krazik is assuming that the photos are there for the benefit of the members. If its a picture of someones just waxed car then maybe, but if its a picture of how to install this or fix this problem, then the pictures are of benefit to others, not just the owner who posted them. Its those sort of threads detailing the problems, solutions, how to do this and be aware of this problem, that really make this site a useful resourse for all the S2000 community

Leaving people with the option of losing control of their photos or removing them which would knobble many useful threads, isn't an ideal solution IMHO

If it is to be the case that adding photos is to be for members only then this should not affect non members being able to delete their photos if required.

I don't see the problem with leaving existing photo albums with read only & delete rights. I too followed the Tonky / Krazik postings, and could imagine Cedric's frustration.

Increasingly, I'm becoming concerned for the future of the S2ki site.

I have been also following the thread but thought that another commandment had come down from upon high.
Putting the rights and wrongs to one side for a moment, surely the likes of AE has full access to the relevant album and can delete the pictures?

My question was (still unanswered) "how do I copy my pictures back out?". (Not delete them).

Sure I can delete them but as they were gathered from I variety of sources I have sinned (oh lord) and not kept copies. I do want to keep them. And before 1st November 2003. The system on S2KI only appears on first inspection to allow me to copy thumbnail (greatly reduced) copies. I will keep on trying but can anybody help?

How do I copy full sized copies back to my hard drive please (:resistingsaying sunshine?

Perhaps you should post on the site info thread which Tonky has been posting on Arsie ( https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=150205 ). Perhaps with more voices the management may pay attention ?
