Yesterday morning Feb 3rd at about 7AM PST our Internet provider went offline yet again. That's 3 major outage in as many weeks. This situation is unfortunately intolerable.

Last evening, Rylan packed up and moved us over the hill to San Jose and into a new facility which you can have a look at here --> www.he.com

The good news is we have bandwidth to burn. They have 9 major gigabit connections to the Internet backbone on both coasts an 2 directly into AOL which should make those members pretty happy. The bad news is that it's going to cost us more, about 1/3rd more. I guess that's just the cost of it if we want to stay online on a continual basis.

Again we appologise for things being off the air for a bit again yesterday but the move we've made should prevent this from happening as regularly in the future.

No, it's not a figment- much faster for me now as well.

i have noticed a dramatic speedup in the site...i thought it was just my imagination.

 

My co-workers thank you although my boss probably doesn't. My co- workers won't be getting kicked off the web anymore as I try and speed up my connection to S2KI and my boss won't get as much work out of me as now it is much more pleasurable to surf the site.

 

I notice a lot of missing images. Were they lost forever in the move or is that still be worked on?

BTW, the site is much faster but it's still early so we'll see.

 

Heh, n/m, they are back now. My sig pic and my photo album was red x'd earlier but everything seems fine now. I imagine there's still a few loose ends being tied up.
