Mechanically related discussions about the S2000.

This is way to broad. Are we talking Turbo, Supercharged? or what. This leaves the catagory open for anything from How to re-build a motor to how you feel on nitrous.
oh i dunno, maybe turbo and supercharger discussion should go in the "Forced Induction Forum"

There are plenty of forums already on this site, you (that's a generic you) just need to learn how to use them more effectively.

As for the membership comment - thankfully you are in the minority with your concepts - if everyone thought that way we wouldnt have an s2ki!

I would if it were not free to use for others.
I'm on welfare and social assistance. I'd get a job but why should I work when there are people who get food and lodging for free?

maybe turbo and supercharger discussion should go in the "Forced Induction Forum"
NO WAY???!!!! That's the dumbest idea yet.

How could more forums be any better? I don't want to have click in and out of 10 forums to read about under the hood type topics. It just creates more work to read things.

You don't want to subcategorize too finely, the way its setup is pretty good I think. The only thing S2ki really needs is a more powerful search as everyone has said.

NVM . . sorry to piss so many off with a little criticism. It was just my personal opinion. I did not mean to offend anyone.

We are always looking for better ideas, however, this format for the most part has worked for us for the last 5 plus years.

We realize the s2000 is getting cheaper and the young folks for speding time here. The forum titles may be geriatric, but I ask what is so confusing with the titles we have.

Under the Hood or Engine doesn't make me understand any more where to post my questions.

Forced Induction seems self explanatory, as well as JDM tuning as racing and competition. Which are all sponsored forums.

Wheels are included in the Upgrade Garage, possibly that name could be changed, but it was likely requested by the forum sponsor.

Lighting would generally fall under the electronics forum, especialy if you are adding pimp lighting. All general s2000 questions does fit in to s2000 talk.

And the one of the most important forums on this site is the wash and wax forum, which was not included under the exterior title section.

I dunno, if the majority tell us things are broken we will listen.

The additon of your proposed forums adds more work for me and for our moderators.

I don't know. It seems to me that the suggestion to change the forums completely ignores some of the important forums here such as Vintage, S2000Talk, CarTalk and etc. I don't know if you are suggesting that these forums be eliminated and the content be narrowed to only include the items that you are interested in. If that is the case, you will end up with too narrow a site which would appeal to very few people. If on the other hand you are suggesting to add more forums, you are suggesting to clutter and confuse. The more choices there are, the more difficult it will be to find the right place to post your thread. The more choices there are, the less likely it will be that others see your post.

As for your reason for not buying a membership, it is without question, disgraceful. If you enjoy the privileges that the owners of this forum are good enough to give you, you ought to at least be honorable enough to help support this board. You currently are riding on the coattails of those of us who do support it. If you take some out, you ought to be willing to put some back.

It seems to me that you are a selfish individual. You ask that the board be changed to suit your likes, but you are unwilling to pay for membership.

Wow.....

Look its very simple... If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I like our format, alot. This isn't a website solely dedicated to modding and the Fast and Furious crowd.... This is a community.

If you want anyone to take you seriously, pay membership. You can spent $34,000 dollars on a car but can't cough up 20 bucks a year!?!?

How come this sentence reminds me of the movie, "Wedding Crashers"?
