Some Things I'd Like to Share Part II
Yes, someone please explain this to me because all I see is you complaining that you were unfairly singled out because xyz has a bigger sig than you do and he didn't get busted for it. If there is more to it than then please someone tell me what it is. I told you that arguing that your signature wasn't too big was going to be pointless. If this is your frustration then I can understand.
Consider this. You're watching TV and see a promotion from a cell phone company that gives you unlimited night and weekend calls for $20. You go to the store and sign up for it believing that. Then after two days the policies change for you because you talk too much during the unlimited time span and every minute of talking will now cost you $0.50. But the store clerk's friend gets to keep his plan even though he talks more than you. You can't get the $20 back though. Would you be satisfied? If no, then good we're getting somewhere, if your answer is yes, I really don't know what to say. So don't you think that whatever rules should be clearly stated before the members decide to chip in twenty bucks and join? If you want to change a rule because you feel like it, the members should have the right to keep going with the rules stated before he joined until the membership expires, wouldn't you says so?
If you've had any kind of education you'd know this is not a debate on sigs, but what this issue represents.

Seems to me that the issue is that Charles feels that the standards are not fairly applied across the board and that this is partly because there is no standard that we judge by...just personal opinion.
Personally, there are as many moderator's sigs that bother me as there are general users sigs...so I just live with it and move on.
However, if we (moderators/admins) are going to call into question someone's signature for being outside guidelines, then shouldn't there be some set standard (ie: certain number of characters at a certain font size or pics no larger than a certain size)?

So wait, basically up to this point what you have said is:
We don't have set rules. We make them up as we go as we like for different people.
I'm nicer to my friend, but so what? he's my friend, you're not.
So what we have been rude, we get pissed off, but you shouldn't ever. There is no point to look back to what I've done wrong and apologize.
There is no point in arguing because whatever I say is always right.
Guys, what kind of debate is this when your opponent talks like this?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this. I don't think the real issue here was even whether or not Charles' sig was too big, too small, too rude or too complicated. I see it as being the way he was approached to do something about it. I see it as a somewhat abrupt and apparently "uncivilized" (OK, I'll say it - rude and impatient) way of doing it.
If it was indeed on a matter hours, don't you think that was a bit rushed? There have been occasions when I've tried to reach Krazik, c3, HondaGal and it has taken not hours, but days to get back to me and sometimes no reply at all. As far as I know, I'm one the few nutcases that has the time to sit on this site this often and check it so frequently. My job and lifestyle affords me this opportunity. Most "normal" people don't have this kind of time to see a message let alone act upon it in the drop of a hat.
Sure, it's tough being a mod. That's why I was never that thrilled about becoming one but having accepted it, there are certain rules (written and unwritten) of conduct that when broken, even a tiny, \"I'm sorry, maybe it could have been done in a more appropriate manner\", may have been in order? (small print on purpose)
Can we at least admit that this "might" just be the root problem here?
