Suggestion for new forum(s)

I'd like to propose a forum where people can post info on group events, something like "Meets" and "Track Events". The threads in these forums could even be divided by locale. This way people who don't give a hoot about anything happening on the East Coast don't have to read them (and feel excluded, think Asheville, hint, hint.)
The roll-off rate for threads on the first page of General Discussion is pretty high and some people may never see these relatively specific interest threads.
One of the mantras is "use the search function". It'd be a lot nicer to have more file drawers instead of looking in one big file cabinet.
