Default What's up with the auctions in the GB forum?

Is there a rule? Can we make a rule regarding this? It may just be me, but it drives me nuts have 40 post auctions, and making rules on bid increments, completion dates, and the rest...that is what EBay is for.

Grouchily,
Tanq

Tanq, which threads are you refering to? The GB forum is for our sponsors to host specials on their products.

All commercial non sponsor threads are removed as soon as we seen them.

The forum allows for members to post their forsale items as well.

I believe it has been members selling their products in an auction style. As in "I am selling my XXXX. Let's start the bidding at $20." I have also seen it done as "Highest bidder gets my XXX."

As tanq said, this is not EBay. I don't think S2Ki should get into the business of hosting auctions.

He may have been referring to the sale of headlight by a certain central Texas member within the last two weeks.

Not that "auction" specifially, but I do believe that is what initiated this trend. People seemed to have stopped selling their good and are instead offering them to the highest bidder. There was even a used car posted by a dealer that stated "bidding starts at xxxxxx."
