Just want to share my wonderful experience with Ballade Sports. Alex, Mike and Aaron are really great guys! I went there today to get my maintenance done and Alex personally took care of everything. From start to finish everything was good, Alex was really careful with my car and made sure it was properly put on the lift etc. Prices were reasonable the people there were very chill and the work was top notch (no oil marks, no dirty steering wheels, seats, etc). Thank you very much. TWO THUMBS UP

Cheers,
Js2

i have a couple for us southbay/ la people

Song's alignment
13435 Prairie Avenue
Hawthorne, CA 90250
(310) 219-3338

Song's alignment 1: they do general maintenance and basic alignments (want a corner balance and fancy alignment i recommend westend alignment over them). i found this place from a local owner of another shop sr20store, and use them for maintenance for my various nissan, infiniti, and s2000. They are very reasonable price wise and the owner marco will go out of his way to make sure things are installed properly and check over your car. For labor they've installed everything from suspension to aftermarket intake manifolds for me and my southbay friends and the owner marco has a knack for solving electrical problems and it is his hobby. Generally i tend to send locals and girls over there for labor jobs/ parts installs because marco will always treat them nicely and not try to rip them off. Also word of caution try to make an appointment as the shop and also try to deal with him in person because he always quotes rather high over the phone to scare away cheapskates. Labor they can do is alignment, suspension install (they have a press for bushings), brake jobs (they have a lathe), engine work and swaps, transmission swaps and clutch install (automatic transmission they can't rebuild), and basic maintenance. While not a specialist like ballade or westend they are a great place to just fix and maintain your regular or modified car and they shop is frequented by the local modified car people.

Western Auto Body
17001 S Western Ave
Gardena, CA 90247
(310) 329-6920

Western Auto Body: is the body shop i use in the area and they have repainted many of my friends and family's cars and fixed my own laguna blue s2000's paint damage from rocks chips. western locally does work for toyota and honda corporate in Torrance and is known for their good customer service and fair pricing. It's not the cheapest place i been too but the customer service makes up for the 10-15% i may save somewhere else, as they will pick me up from home, drop me off at the car rental, work with me on repairing it how i like, and fix things if i am not happy with any detail of the repair for free, western's way is basically make sure you the customer is 100% satisfied with the repair and the shop itself is easy to find and easy to park. Generally anyone is easy to deal with at western: i normally deal with Eric the owner, Frank Clow or Sam the two estimators, and request Oscar the body man personally as i've know Eric and Oscar for a long time since the 90s. The shop paint work i'd say is B+/A- not ubber show quality but a good match for modern oem water based paint and the color they shoot matches and holds up over the years and the body work is excellent as they use the latest repair techniques, and also they are super nice about calling out window replacement and paint-less dent repair people for customers. Overall this is my default and favorite body shop after having some bad experiences with other nearby shops and their paint quality & customer service.

I'm sure a lot of you have already read all the raving reviews about Alex @ Ballade Sports, but I wanted to add to that and share my personal experience.

As of late, my car has been feeling strange to say the least so I wanted to get a thorough examination by a mechanic. I gave Alex a call and started talking to him about my concerns and asked him if he could take a look at my car. To my surprise, Alex told me he wouldn't charge me for actually examining my car because he doesn't have to do any work. A mechanic who doesn't charge unless he finds something wrong to fix? This was unheard of to me. In addition, I had come in wanting to have a coolant flush done but Alex actually talked me out of it as well!

I ended up have a compression test performed (no leakdown since my engine was healthy ) as well as a valve adjustment done. I was unsure of whether or not I needed a valve adjustment, so Alex actually took the time to pull my valve cover off and show me how loose my clearance was so I could make a more educated decision. car runs great now, thanks!

All in all, Alex is a great guy who genuinely cares about his customers. I can honestly say he's earned my business for life.

Just had DTM take care of some body work on my vehicle and they did an outstanding job. Good price and fast turn around and great customer service. Don't hesitate to bring your car to them!

1) oem motor mounts
2) oem clutch master cylinder
3) Valve adjustment
4) oem serpentine belt replacement
5) timing chain tensioner replacement
6) spark plugs (forgot which o
7) oil change (full syntethic)

Do you guys recommend any shops to get a 6pt roll cage installed? It will be for 06 s2k so there will be some cutting and welding needed. Would greatly appreciate if someone can recommend a good shop where they had a good experience. Thanks!

Chris and Darrin At West End!!

Just came back from West End. Great service, down to earth, old school.

I never knew any shop would do measurement by hand! Old school!
