Default Amuse exhaust problem

As some of you may know by now, my Amuse exhaust has developed a problem.

A nasty rattle has developed within the internals of the secondary resonator. Something has come loose in there apparently. The background info is in this thread if you wish to read more - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=22&t=267982

So can anyone recommend the absolute best titantium welder or a muffler shop that works on Ti in SoFL is? Price is of no concern, I'm willing to pay, within reason of course.

My options currently are find a Ti welder in SoFL to replace the entire secondary resonator with a straight Ti pipe and weld it into my Amuse, then replace the Amuse in about a year with something better. Or see if Bulletproof/Amuse Japan can warranty my exhaust and replace it for a new one for free. Or replace it with a new Amuse exhaust with a different model one without the secondary resonator out of my own pocket and try to sell the broken Amuse at a bargain basement price.

If anyone has any recommendations for a Ti welder or muffler shop that works on Ti please post their contact info here. Thanks.

Welding Ti is a specialist job, definitely not something the average garage welder can handle. If the piece that came loose is internal, the entire piece has to be "unfolded" (grind out the welds), fixed, and rewelded. Byt the time you pay for that, it may make more sense to buy another exhaust... but maybe you'll get lucky.

Again, I'm sorry to hear about this. Remember when we were touting the greatness of Amuse Ti exhausts a few months back?

I would explore the warranty option first. If Amuse tells you to go pound sand (which, given the overseas nature of the transaction, would be my guess), I would call Miami Muffler and see if they can fix it. They are doing all my custom exhaust work.

You could just sell it for a slight loss to someone and just purchase another Amuse if you have no other options. I am sure someone will pick it up from you, although you would take a monetary loss.

Well I'm still a big believer in Amuse, I guess even the best can sometimes break. I would not hestitate to purchase an Amuse again, only this time I'll be sure to get one without the resonator to minimize the chances of anything going wrong.

Yeah I called Miami Muffler and they didn't even know what titanium is so I don't think I'll be taking it there.

I'm not that familiar with the Amuse exhaust - from your post it sounds like the piping is titanium. If so, it's going to be tough to find someone that can do the work with titanium. However, if the piping is stainless go to a muffer shop, have them cut out the resonator and replace it with a stainless pipe.

Ok - time for a stupid girl question.

Why is titanium so hard for the average welder to work with?
