I will try not to turn this into a rant.

Requiring people to take an IQ test to vote? That is rather naive. We all have they right to express our opinion. I believe it is commonly refer to as the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. Furthermore who is going to make the IQ test? The "elite" like yourself?
As for the crisis we are in it all comes down to people who abused the mortgage system. How many people here have had their house, or a house they purchased to "flip", go into Foreclosure? There is someone posting in this thread right now that is in that situation.
The members of Congress who took money from Fannie May and Freddie Mac are just as responsible for the Title Companies, Real Estate Lawyers, Realtors, Buyers, and Sellers who knowing committed mortgage fraud.
Miami Dade had 2 people working in the Mortgage Fraud division and have since added 34 more people. 10 years from now you will see your buddy end up in jail because he will be found guilty of mortgage fraud in 2004. etc. etc.
So before you start blaming the members of congress take a look at the people who had NO RIGHT whatsoever in purchasing a $300,000 dollar house when they can't afford to move out of Mommy and Daddy's house and get an apartment. The people who purchased up to 8 houses in one day because the mortgage companies allowed them to fill out 2 PIECES OF PAPER to qualify for a mortgage. The people who took these poor people who just came to this country, people who make less than 1000 dollars a month and used there credit to purchase a $200,000 knowing that in 3 months they would be out on the street and you would have pocketed the difference.
We are in this situation, just like the situation with our Gasoline, because of the greed through out all the levels. From the gas distributor all the way up to the CEOs of major Oil Companies.
I don't see you knocking down the door of John McCain for his involvement in the Keating Five which caused the collapse of so many banks in the late 80s and destroyed the housing market which is an eerily similar to the situation we are in now.
As for the people who are so concerned about losing money. No one on this board makes $200,000 or more ($250k for people filing jointly). If you think you do or say you do then please put down the monopoly money. If you can read this post then people go to Obama.com and read his tax plan and you will see that you will not be taxed.

Again we the people have short term memory, have we forgotten the energy problem, think about less than 6 months ago the price for unleaded gas was $4 or more a galon now is $2.70 an no one even thinks about it now, that short term memory is the one that have created this mess(oil prices were part responsible for the worldwide slow down in the economy). If any other word was used in place of 'rich' (Kike/Spic/Nigger/Faggot/Dyke/whatever), there would a tremendous outcry against him. But because Obama has successfully targeted those who make $250K and up (well, it was $250K, then it dropped down to $200k, then further still to $150K, who knows what level it finally drop down to) as the 'enemy'. Pure & simple class warfare. What exactly is their crime for earning that money? So-we have to punish those by forcing higher tax rates on them?
Makes me wonder who is going to be the enemy of the state next. Is it going to be those who voted against him?
