Clutch Delay Valve Removal
I am new to the forum and I don't know anyone on here other than some of you that I have seen driving around. Anyways I was wondering if anyone around here has removed the clutch delay valve themselves and would like to help me do mine, or if not tell me where I can have it done locally. I did this mod to my E46 and it is definately a must do, although I did not notice the CDV as much on the E46 as I do in my S2k.
Any help would be most appreciated.
TIA,
Ivan

I'm not sure where you live but it would be worth the trip to see Lewis P. at Rick Case Honda ...he is one of their S2000 experts and he removed and replaced my clutch delay valve. What a difference in acceleration without that damn delay!! Just ask for him and tell him what you want done ... It cost around $250 with labor for the replacement. If you do it, call ahead to set up an appointment so it can be done in one morning. Good Luck!!

$250? Holy that's a lot of money. I think a MY03 slave from hardtopguy runs 60 plus whatever install time is since you need to modify a line or two to make it fit.
my suggestion is to just remove the valve in your stock one. Billman has a write up if you want to do a search or you can use this guide here
Took about 45mins and most of that time is spent on getting that darn ring out. Make sure you get a mechanic's pick tool though as I had the worst time trying to use a dental pick. Grab a friend to help with the bleeding and it's a fairly simple job.

Yea I figured $250 was alot of money. The problem I have is I don't have anything or anywhere to jack the car up, since I live in a condo, no work on the premises...
If anyone wants to lend a hand, I'll bring the beer
