Hey kids ... this is your favorite cracker from the metropolis of Ocala


I'm working at a conference in WPB (PGA resort and spa) in July and was curious what there is to do within an hour drive. Looking for clubs, bars, and restaurants that are unique and fun. The gf should be with me for at least 1 day while i'm there. Her 2 best friends are living in the Ft.L/Miami area ... but, I figured I'd check with you guys/gals too as I know ya'v got scoops.

City Place and Clematis street are really close to PGA. City Place is an open mall with a few bars. Opa Tavern is pretty cool, greek place. Clematis St is full of bars and nice for bar hoping. Clematis is probably better during weekends.

From what I've been told the curriculum will be over each day at around 3pm ... so, i should have some free time to enjoy the area. And the last day of the conference is Saturday ... so, a drive to the Keys may be next on the list if the gf's schedule permits
