Default Crime Wave

I think it's time to actually collect some info and possibly deter some of these assaults on our cars.

For those that have been violated, either by pillage or complete theft. Please let the rest of us know if there were any security measures on the cars. IE: seat locks, alarms, etc.

From what I have heard (and I haven't heard much), the cars that have been "hit" didn't have any theft deterants.

My goal here is is to give everyone more info so they can protect there cars, and hopefully lessen the attacts on our cars.

While I no longer do installs for a living, I was a car stereo/alarm install for many years, so I have some experience.

I believe a properly installed alarm can be a serious deterent. keep in mind, if there is no alarm, there is no noise and they have as long as they want to work. If it makes noise, then there is a chance they will go to the next car.

I'm not trying to sell alarms, I don't do that anymore. I'm just trying to determine a common thread of the cars that have been ripped off and possible help some peeps avoid the grief in the future.

This is not an opinion thread, it's just a place to collect some data so people can make informed choices

Thanks

Mitch

I have a garage and a Clifford (and let's not forget my Sig Sauer ). I've been fortunate to not have any problems but it is definitely a good idea to have some kind of protection for the vehicle.

Actually, I do
Audio Logic in Davie
954 437-0400

Mike is the owner, tell him you are part of the group and that I sent you, I'm sure he will treat you right.

I'll call him tomorrow and see what I can set up

I'll be away on business this weekend, but if you could set something up for next weekend that would be great.

Garage, Hand Guns, Shot Guns, Rifles, oh... and my Clifford.

Any S2000 without a Clifford (or any other good) alarm is a sitting duck. Stock alarms will not detect a cut top.

I need an alarm too, When i get paid i might call Audio Logic .

I fear for my car now cause this kid where i live stop me and started tell me that he loves my car and thinks its Hott and told me stright up that if i wanted parts for it that he will steal some for me ????? Oh and he told if that he will pay me 1000 if i let him steal my car that he can get vins number for it.(Im thinking why me.) I told him that my car got hit and it drive funny so its will brake in the long run and i was going to keep it stock.

That whats pushing me into getting an alarm. And the fact the car is parked in front of my house cause my dad has sooo much junk in the garage i cant even fit a bike. and he know where i live. Until i get an alarm i'm gonna watch it as much and i can and if i see this this kid near my car im gonna be a crazy guido to him

Got the Sig, the shotguns, the black talons, lo-jack, the garage, the dog, Barbed wire, High Voltage fence ...Need a clifford....

How much you think it would cost for a nice Clifford system with the proximity sensors and all the other toys. Cut Off Switches are good too.
