The Crime Wave is happening in the most remote areas.
yup. i was telling a friend of mine who used to live in miami but now lives in AZ about how bad the theft is down here and about thieves on local forums and ebay and shit and he said it's the SAME thing over there. That thread is just proof.

I want to feel safe being 3hrs (or 6 roundtrip) from major theft area, but damn, this shit's getting me nervous especially hearing about the recent ones which match my cars description

Trying to save some money now for a turbo kit, but looks like security measures & hardtop will be first on the list.

all the security devices in the world will not save your car from one thing that wins about 90% of the time with the well connected thieves, and that the tow truck. Tow Truck > alarms, kill switches, seats locks, etc. Friend of mine had his car robbed, even though his neighbor said the alarm was very loud and wouldn't stop. Bottom line is, if they want it, they're gonna get it, but buy yourself an alarm or some other security device for your piece of mind. Atleast try to slow them down. Just like the article says though, some people should seriously consider storage for other personal junk and start keeping they're cars in the garage

by the way,

I removed list of mods to my car a long long time ago so certain unscroupulous sc_mbags would not be tempted. I suggest everyone drops the shopping list

It just makes me want to take a bat to every Civic I see.. I am so pissed again, and my anger is boiling over. It is harder for me than most because my wife sells Hondas.. She brings home Civics, Elements, Accords and such all the time for deliveries. I want to go to Tower Shops and do some damage..@@@@@@@!!!!!!! Lets get a posse and find the SCUM NOW!!!! But then again it might be one of us doing the stealing....!!!

I really hope this is not the case...We just need to be careful with what information we release. We need to remind ourselves to keep aware of our surroundings and what we innocently disclose.. The naive usually end up being the next victim.
