Post Going Turbo!

After debating for so long if keeping the baby N.A or going F.I. I decided to go Turbo.

My plan is to reach 450-550 rwhp. Anywhere is that area will bring me a smile when I get on it.

I know some of the baddest turbo S2000 are in S. FL. so I will ask in here since I asked in F/I thread and they just blew me off.

What turbo kit is mostly recommended (most reliable) what parts are highly recommended (ecu, cv, reinforcements etc...)to keep it the most reliable possible.

Now Im thinking in getting A GT35R turbo but I don't know which kit to use. Anyone that has knowledge in this area can help me out? Im planning to do this the right way so Im thinking of spending around $15K.

Hopefully I will start working on this by end of year if finaces permit. So far so good.

In my opinion, you don't need to spend 15k to have a reliable turbo setup. Around 9k (including installed and tuned) is basically all you need.

^ Well better for me.

Im planning on ahving the engine sent out to be built for this type of #s. I've heard of a few companies that do this but has anyone sent out their engines to be built for Turbo Specs? To who if you don't mind me asking.

Alex, what kit are you planning on using?

I've looked into turbo setup in the past. I really don't think you need to send your engine out to be build for turbo setup, unless you are going all out with your car, in which case, the reliability issue might be going out the window.

If I were doing the setup, I would go 2 route.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...5&hl=inline+pro

-They claim 400+ with the standard turbo kit, and 500+ with their maxed out option turbo kit which go for little over 6k. With installed and tuned, around 9k. And supposedly, Inline Pro is one of the most reliable turbo setup for the S.

The other route, (last time I checked) R.A.W sells a complete turbo kit with install for also around 9k also. The system is suppose to put out high 400's hp They are located near Fort Lauderdale.

Hey Diablo,, I am spending around that much from my Turbo build. I am shooting for 550whp-650whp myself...for that much power you will need alot of work to be done on the engine and the hole car itself.. you are looking at Pistons, rods, crank, build head, exhaust, rear end, fuel pump, injetors, and many many other parts.. one of the most important part of a turbo set up is the Mani its self. That well be the biggest part in reaching your goals. What you sould do is research all the mani out there to see which will give you the best power.. there are also alot of Fab guys that can make one up, but would not recomind that. If you find a good Mani you can peice a turbo kit your self.

So far Im planning to have the engine built by Laskey and that alone is $3995 and get the InlinePro Diff Kit which is $2995. Now this alone is $7000, I think the remaining $8000 can get me the Turbo kit and install. I seriously think this is gonna end up being more but I'll start buying parts little by little soon.

C me go you want a Jet fighter 650whp?? I thought I wanted to much.

Thanks for the info guys.
