[QUOTE=Diablo99V,Jul 6 2007, 03:21 PM] After debating for so long if keeping the baby N.A or going F.I. I decided to go Turbo.

My plan is to reach 450-550 rwhp.

inlinepro has a special for aem ems if you buy their kit. I say, get the inlinepro kit with a gt35R, inlinepro FI block, and aem ems from them and they can probably give you a good deal on it

i'm going to try to help

when i was lookign for my turbo setup, i spent a lot of hours in the F/I section... so after so many topic about this, the conclusion is this one..

friendly turbo, capable of making 450 whp with supporting mods = Inlinepro.

big power maker, with few issues ( new kit should have this issues workout) comes with supporting mod to make 450 - 500 whp. = Lovefab

i have the lovefab v1 setup with the gt30r, 750cc, ame ems, 3" exhaust, 255 fuel pump, good tune. i made 306 whp at 4.5 psi. ( and here is colorado )

that was my old setup.

i'm getting a block built by one of the best company ( laskey racing ) they have a lot of experience with our engines. the block would be able to handle up to 40 PSI. + built head too.

i'm getting a GT35r with 1000cc injector + aem injector driver + inlinpro fuel rail + CC clutch ( ironman ) + blizt boost controller + AEM 3.5bar + new fuel pump.

i'm using the same piping that i had on for my old setup with the IC,

this setup should give me 550+ whp.

THe v1 mani from lovefab requires a lot of modification to the engine bay, like battery relocation, fuse box too. and good heat shield.

just turbo kit setup with good tune, will run between 8 - 10k

built block + head + installation 6 - 7k ( take -600 is you send your block )

No 8k is not enough for a new kit + tunning + installation =/
Listen to the GURU....
Inline pro is your answer and you'll still have money left over to invite the club to FUDS (what ever the new name is) to celebrate

First off the inline pro kit comes with a cast manifold...

If I was going to build a turbo car. This is what I would do.

Manley rods and Endyn pistons along with a balanced crank
Full Race Hypertune Billet Intake Manifolds
Joe alaniz head
Full Race 70 mm intake manifold
Full Race Stage 3 turbo kit minus turbo (Along with Wiggins Clamps)
HKS GT3240
Custom 3" Ti straight pipe all the way back with a burnt tip... (For the JDM crowd)
AEM Plug and Play Engine Management System along with some Defi Gauges....
Tracy Sport Lightweight Hi-Volume Fuel Rail & Lightweight Pulley Set
PPG Gear Sets - 6 Speed Syncro Gear Set
Inline pro rear Diff conversion
Tilton Clutch assembly
Grex Oil cooler
M and M Honda Transmission Cooler
Amuse 6 Pot R1 Front Brake Conversion (Don't forget Stopping power!!!!)
J's racing Rear Control Arm Set, Pillow Ball
J's racing SPL Rear Roll Center Adjuster
J's Racing Tie Rod End Set, PIllow

Now that is my Dream setup...

I have been researching and learning as much as I can...With your power goals, I would "hands down" recommend Inline Pro. Those are also my goals, whp wise, and as much as I like the tubular manifolds, cast iron log will do for me. It is a compromise, some members have the technical skills to troubleshoot and repair the issues involved with heat and vibration, and so forth. I do not. So, after much consideration of the Lovefab/Fullrace choices, I will go with InlinePro.

My question for the Turbo gurus; is the ball bearing upgrade worth the extra money? What is the benefit for the upgrade?

Regardless, enjoy the "transformation" and expense. Its fun spending the $$$..

ball bearing units provide faster spool. my SC61 spools at 4200 which is annoying me. they can sustain more boost. they are dependent on less oil so the risk of wear is less. on the other side, it costs more and it cannot be rebuilt, you'll need to get a new one if anything happens to it

Burak, what is the difference between the GT35 and the SC61? I am considering the GT35 after seeing Matts car

All in all, it appears to be the medium for power and response..

So, BB spools at 4200, and the non BB spools at???
