Default How hard is it to swap Differentials

Just wondering what the usual labor for changing a differential(not the final drive ratio).

Instructions on the service manual don't seem to be that difficult but I'm sure someone here has had first had experience in doing this.

Any help appreciated.

i did the job pretty recently, well my diff is getting worked on for the new ring and pinion, so i did half the work.

compared to changing the soft top, super easy. i even did my brake pads. the instructions in the manual are on point, except when taking the diff out, i seperated the mounts that are towards the front of the car from the diff to make it easier to move things around.

remember, mark the axles and drive shaft so you can put them back exactly the same way the came out, or you will have some bad vibrations.

Anyone know of some mechanic friends which would be interested in doing this as a side job or just to make some extra cash..

Or if anyone with prior exp with this that would be willing to help out.

Thanks
