hey do you guys know anything about the K&N FIPK( fuel injection performance kit) GEN2 AIR INTAKE KIT.

This intake has a great description and everything but my question is what is it. A cold air? a Ram air? a short ram? and does anyone have any experience with it?

I have one - it is a CAI - heatsheild protects from motor. Think mods are required to fit onto 2006 though

 

Its a cold air intake but it has its own box it makes around the filter to shield it from the engine heat and has a rubber top that should make a seal against the hood of the car to protect from hydrolock. I have one installed in my car and love the sound and it clears up a lot of room in the engine bay. Not really sure of any performance changes, minimal at most, but I'm still happy with mine.

 

Get the Comptech or ACR or a Spoon Snorkel.

I have the K&N and I love it. Like they said, I'm not sure about the gains but it sounds great when vtec hits. Like night and day.
