It's that time again...
So here is the deal. Currently have S02's in the front (which are the original ones never changed them) and S03's in the back. They ALL need to be replaced. I don't want to spend too much $$ on new ones. My lease is up in a year and I might be getting out of the lease in 6+ months. I know S02's and S03's are the best but is there something a little more affordable? I don't drive hard, but it is a daily driver, and has to do good in the rain since rainy season is fast approaching.
I know we have some wonderful guys here in our little group, this is why i am seeking your advice. I'd need brand name and size specs so i can start the search.
BTW Also posted this on the tire/wheels thread.
Thanks!

If its a lease get some el-cheapo Kumhos, Nittos, Toyos, etc. Go to www.tirerack.com and plug in the sizes and pick the cheapest.
Yeah Keith i do want cheap but i want to be able to drive the car and not be scared sh*tless. I have to keep the car another 6+ months at least and it's throughout Most of hurricane season! So something affordable that will last me about 6 months or another 4-5K miles which I can drive in the rain. Affordable, but reliable.
from what jim@tirerack says, these aren't bad for the price.
i was actually thinking of getting these too, but the sidewall is ugly as hell.

I'm pretty happy with the Toyo T1-S. 225/45 front and 245/45 back (I think, memory's not so good sometimes). I think I paid about $550 for a whole set, mounted and balanced plus old tire disposal at Dolphin Tire in West Palm. They don't grip as well as the S02's, but they aren't bad.

Sure you can change the tires. Take a look at the Fuzion Zri or the Yoko ES100. Both of these tires would be fine on the car. I would use different sizes than stock but handling would be better in the wet than the S02.
Give me a call if I can help.

Cindy, stop being a cheap ass, spend a little bit more $ and buy the right tires for your car.
Its like this, get cheapie tires and risk losing control in the rain and crashing. Get good tires and don't worry. Think I'm BS'ing? Do a search and see how many cheap ass idiots on this forum post "uh i crashed in the rain and oh yea i brought cheapie tires duh."
Money is just money, spend it, save it, whatever. But when it comes down to higher quality versus saving a buck, I'll pay infinitely extra for higher quality every single time.
