Cindy, stop being a cheap ass, spend a little bit more $ and buy the right tires for your car.
Its like this, get cheapie tires and risk losing control in the rain and crashing. Get good tires and don't worry. Think I'm BS'ing? Do a search and see how many cheap ass idiots on this forum post "uh i crashed in the rain and oh yea i brought cheapie tires duh."
Money is just money, spend it, save it, whatever. But when it comes down to higher quality versus saving a buck, I'll pay infinitely extra for higher quality every single time.

I bought the Fuzions as well (well because I got them for $75 each mounted
) but also because I was planning on getting different rims and didn't want to spend a lot on tires as well and the dry season was coming up so I wasn't too concerned. They're okay, but I wouldn't buy them again unless I was in the same situation.

well, i keep seeing used pre04 wheels in the fs forum, why don't you just buy a set of those for a few hundred bucks. hopefully they still have oem tires on em. then when you turn your car in, you will have the tread that you need, instead of giving the stealer 6 month old tires. plus, you will have a set of rims you can sell for like $200-$300. think of it as like a rental fee.
PS--- Tommy, why don't you just buy her a set of safe tires???? lol
Good Year on Pembroke and 441. Ask for Scot, tell him I sent you. He'll take good care of you and may know some alternatives.
954-989-2600,
He can get track tires too for those looking.
Mitch
This shit reminds of the time JHo was asking around for the cheapest tires cause she couldn't afford the right ones. She ended up getting some no name brand tires and two weeks later the dumb bitch crashed her car in the rain.
And Mitch, if you were a real friend who cared, you would tell her to get the good tires, not the cheap ass ones.

I am friend and instead of thowing out comments that might insult, I sent her to someone that knows tiires and might be able to accomodate her needs by finding a product that falls within her parameters. Seems to me that's what a friend would do, To the best of my knowledge Cindy doesn't drive like some of us and may not need the expense of a new set of O3's for only 6 months. I'm guessing there is a tire available that would be safe, with excellent wet traction, and reasonable dry. No, they won't be as good at O3's, and Cindy has stated that she is aware of that and is looking for an alternative. I sent her to a professional that might be able to give her some insight, and an alternative.
Oh, and tommy, I would watch my back....comparing Cindy to Jackie, might invoke some retaliation from Cindy
Mitch
ok I'm off my soap box now, Cindy... good luck in your search......

There are many tires that are perfectly acceptable for the S2000 that are not made by Bridgestone.
Cindy, as long as you get rears in the 245/45-16 size I think you will be fine in the rain. Most of the benefit of the S0-3s are the traction in dry. Wet traction is due to the grooving on the tread.

Oh please Cindy and I insult each other all the time.
And when she calls your buddy at Good Year, all he will see is dollar signs so of course he will tell her whatever she wants to hear. Besides many times there is more profit margin in el cheapo tires than more expensive ones.
If you want cheap, than go to the FS forum and try to get used tires.

Oh and I'll add this...
I can tell you for a FACT that the Bridgestone G009 tires on my Integra channel water much better than the S0-3s on the S2000.
All FOUR of those tires cost less than ONE $247, 255/35-18 Bridgestone Potenza S0-3 rear tire on the S2000.

Thanks for all your input. I did speak with Jim@tirerack and he did recommend that i use the BRIDGESTONE (tommy is that a good name brand for you???) Fuzion ZRI
Front: 225/50
Rear: 245/45
I definetly think i might go with this option since it's about $83 & $85 each. Jim said they have better wet traction than stock (anything is better in the rain than SO2's). He said since i do not drive hard they will be good, but not as good as SO2's dry traction or SO3's handling. But they do have good handling.
Yes the S03's were AWESOME but i don't want to spend that much $$ on tires. Now i don't drive the car hard. I don't autox. I speed but 85 is as high as i mostly go. Now I have to figure out if it'll be more afforadable to go locally with install or have them delivered the installed else where. The FUN begins.
