Cindy, you should not be using a 225/50 for the front...

205/55 is the right size for the front. People only use 225/50 if they are buying autox tires.

But Jim@tirerack said that's what the sizes should be. Don't you think he would know what he is talking about??? hmm.

Keith is right. The fronts are too wide. 205 is the right size.

I did a comparison on tirerack.com - http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSetDetai...qty_25WR6ZRI_=2

The RE750's are actually the best bang for the buck according to this.

I think he was thinking about autox tires. If I order a set of Hoosiers or Kumho autox tires you need 225/50... Trust me Cin, you want the 205/55s!

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry5122081

He said it is better to go with 225's. I am going to think he knows what he's talking about... anyone care to make a counter judgement???

Cindy,

I have 225's on the front of my car, but my wheels are considerably wider than the stock wheels (about an inch)

But Mitch you can't compare your 18" wheels to her 16" stock wheels.

Cin, do whatever you think is right for you. We've given you our opinions, so go ahead and get the crappie tires that are the wrong sizes. Just make sure your insurance is paid up.

BTW according to Jim, getting the BBS gold on red center caps is impossible and BBS does not deal with customers directly. They are on their way from Japan, I ordered them from BBS. Don't believe everything a salesman tells you. Hes there to sell. Ask him if the 225's are spiffed (back end money).

Cindy,

I looked at his reasoning and it makes sense. He's just going from the specifications and getting the size that matches the OEM width.

Now if I were worried about oversteer, I would go with the smaller 205/55s, since it will create a safer understeer condition at the limit.

Either or you won't be wrong. Ignore Tommy, those tires are fine. You can probably get a whole set of those for the $494 I just paid for my rear S0-3s in 18s.

Actually Keith i got a quote already and it'll be around $375 full set, mount/balance.

I do think I will go with these Fuzions. Sorry Tommy, I know you don't like the idea, but what can I do. I don't have a money tree growing out of my back yard.
