I just sent my entire header back to get coated by jet-hot and wanted to see the difference between stock and everything jet-coated, before and after... I know i should have done it before everything was coated but i didn't think that far in advance.

So my question...Is there anyone in SW florida with an sort of device to tell me how hot the engine bay is getting? And actually if it comes down to it i'll go to the other coast so let me know in some way.

 

I was at a local meet and somebody had this cool thing they use for there RC cars. It is like a flashlight, except for temperature. You point the thing at whatever you want and it measures the temperature of what you are aimed at. That might help.

 

That is a laser thermometer. We used them to measure hot tub temperatures at a gym that I worked at.

 

I have a heat gun, and a pyrometer (measures temperature you aimed at- used for measuring heat distribution on race tires), your welcome to come over and use them anytime if you want.
