Default post Katrina check-in

Everyone OK? Check in...

I believe that the eye passed literally over my house at 8PM last night and went SW into the Kendall area. At 9PM it got really bad when the second half of the storm came through. The sky was lit up blue and green with a strange orange haze. The winds were rocking my house, there were several times that I thought my garage door was going to get ripped off and blow away. The fountain in my lake was shooting out sideways. Half of the trees in my community are down as in the Doral area and the rest of Miami. My power stayed on but I know people in West Dade, Kendall and the Hammocks lost power.

Stay safe people!

Its funny how these things never go as they predict. Everyone was saying Broward/Palm Beach line. Then the thing goes in Dade/Broward line and slams you guys in Miami! I saw some of the picture on Miami TV from Doral/Key Biscayne/Old Cutler/Kendall and I'm amazed how much this Cat 1 storm did.

Be glad you didnt lose power!

Trees down, power is back now in the Hammocks.

Strong Cat 1 if you ask me. Amazing the power of nature.
