Had power out for almost 36 hours. We got it really bad in Hieleah Gardens. And I live in a trailer. No one was told to leave and only a select few put their shutters down. During the "eye" we put a couple down that were rattling. All is well here. There weren't any big trees here so none fell. All is well but almost all my friends and family are still without power. That's the news.

I did not do so well, not only am I without power, my top was cut and my seats and gearshift knob were stolen. I parked my car at my sister's parking garage because I figured it would be safer than in my community because it has a ton of trees. I'm soooo pissed because the whole process is probably going to take longer because of all the hurricane claims. Anyone want to go to Tower Shops on Friday and watch me blow up on random Civic owners with S2K seats to vent my frustration. Is far as I am concerned anyone who buys them from eBay is just as guilty as the people who stole them. For every legit S2K seat sale there are 50 or so that are stolen. I will post pictures and a new thread in a bit.

Mitch, still no power or phone for us! It sucks! It's been two nights of no A/C and it is tough to sleep in a hot, sticky house. I'm hoping that things get fixed today, but can't count on it.

I'm at Dave's office now, enjoying the cool air & internet.

Wish us luck!!!!

I'm back!!! Everything okay, just a huge mess to clean up. Very scary experience, especially since I was alone and had not put the shutters up because they expected it to hit up North. Didn't have power or phone for a while but everything is back and working, except for my DSL. I'm on Dial-up. BLAH!!!!!!

Glad it turned out okay!!!

Just got my power and phone back today...took all of the freezer items over to the girl's place to keep from rotting.

Sucks to hear about that Verist, I know the feeling, but having it done during a hurricane is just that much worse. I cant believe that these bastards are thinking about stealing our seats even in the worste scenarios.

Warren if there is anything I can do to help out smoothing things over with the business for you let me know. Sorry to hear about it.
