It's an amazing trip! Between the sight seeing & the actual driving, it's well worth the 880 miles up there!

Sorry guys...But having sex is not like making love. Thats just the wrong analogy. Love is on flat surfaces, with whispers/I love yous/ear nibbling that are much gentler and caring, a lot more caring verses raw animal feelings and shear passion.

On the sex, there are dildos and vibrators, along with a lot of randomly increasing and decreasing thrusts. It would be more comparable to a circus with midgets, or even better a lot like a Debbie does Dallas 500 rally.

The movements are very good and it was a nice trip when I got it up. It's something most everyone would enjoy.
way too funny. and very appropriate with our little group. I wish I could go with the group, but I can't make two trips in two weeks.

I will be going solo the first week of october

Hey everyone. Checked out an option for either the trip up or back. The Amtrak Autotrain. Check the website for. It travels between Sanford and Lorton, VA. Price is $260 one way. Travels through the night. I checked mapquest and it is a 400 mile 7hr trip to Knoxville from Lorton. Guess what? Option out.

I think the best option is a 2 day drive up and back. Break the trip up and enjoy the trip. Idea is to drive from Fla. to just north of Atlanta and then the next day drive into Knoxville. Then do a more scenic drive on the way back. KeithD and Jerseygirl did the scenic drive on the way back in April.

Do expect a 2000 mile addition to your odometer for this trip, but it will be the best 2000 miles put on.

Who is thinking about this?

I've looked at car carriers...
you are lookin 'at least' (sonic style) $550 Ft lauderdale to Knoxville one way...

I'm still waiting on some other call backs... but the outlook is rough...

Its a nice trip, too bad the car transport options are expensive. Maybe we will just have to bite the bullet and drive.

I'm in if the auto transport is a viable option. 2500 miles is just too much. That's 3 to 4 months of driving for me.

If you went strictly up to Knoxville & back, you could probably do it in under 2,000 miles (probably about 1,800 miles or so).

By the time I got back, I had just over 2,000 miles racked up from the entire trip. But realize that was up to Knoxville (going a round-about way near Atlanta that probably added extra miles, not to mention extra time), doing the Dragon, doing the Cherola Skyway, taking the super special redneck reality tour ( ), going to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, continuing east to get to 95 and then back down 95 to Ft. Lauderdale.

Someone in the Vintage forum referred to the Dragon as the "best drive east of the Rockies". While I can't say for sure if that's the case, it's certainly something that is worth the 12 hour drive!

Deiger, I'm in for DBR '04.
