So I first just cut the power to the ESM, the car started running like shit. It had a rough idle and wouldn't accelerate but i had VTEC when i made it to 6k. Then I cut it off completely and put the wire from the MAP straight to the ECU and the it drove normally again but I lost VTEC. Any other suggestions???

Would I be able to adjust that fuel pressure regulator back to oem psi or should it just be replaced with an oem one?

That pressure regulator is only for forced induction.

You need an oem pressure regulator.

I'm still working on sourcing an OEM FPR (might just get one from autozone), but I patched up that box from the picture with some plastic weld and my vacuum went from 14hg to 19hg at idle

So I finally got my OEM Fuel Pressure regulator installed (running a new fuel line was a bitch) and after resetting the ECU the car seems to be running the same...still no VTEC!

Please help, Bryan or anyone else reading this!

The car started to make this strange rattling sound which seems to come from between the engine block and the firewall, I took it to Honda for a diagnostics and they said it was more than likely a bent valve and the lack of compression would lead to the no VTEC. I'm not shooting any CEL's except for P0410 (Secondary Air Injection System) and as far as I know I should be getting some other codes for a misfire or something along those lines for a bent valve.

So I recently had a diagnostics done by a Honda tech by my house, they advised me that the reason my VTEC wasn't working was due to a bad VTEC oil pressure switch. I went and replaced that already but to no avail. I don't know if this new problem is related but while i was testing the car I wanted to reach the redline but the car stopped me at around 8200 rpm. It made kind of a grinding sound and then reacted as if fuel had been cut off. It happened two more times before i decided to park the car for the day. Any ideas what it could be?

Also, I had a small amount of oil leaking out of the oil pressure switch but I haven't noticed a leak yet with the new one

So in an effort to rule out any faulty wiring done by the previous owner, I cut the connections from the VTEC solenoid and oil pressure switch and ran a wire directly to my ECU where I spliced the two together to the correct pinouts (like a VTEC oil pressure switch delete) but still nothing. I'm not throwing any CEL either so im pretty positive I ran everything correctly
