yeah you guys should of setup near where the jdm south meet was because the bbq was set up under trees but you guys had sandwiches so trees would be a good thing at the time and the weather on a friday is out of hand hot like a stripper on viagra so i didn't know it was on a friday i miss the meet because of work. All i know is i thought it was on a weekend and judging by the pics you all post up i knew that there weren't that many people to begin with so yeah i thought it was big but came out small :[

Again, I apologize if I'm misunderstanding the comments above but they sound like complaining to me.
I don't see them as complaints. Rather, suggestions for next year. Asking the event planners (whom I think did a fantastic job) to find a place next year that has some shade is not that far out-of-line. Afterall, a lot of people traveled 2+ hours to attend this event, and something like shade is to be expected on a hot day. I'd just take it as a tip for next year.

As far as drinks go, digging in to someone elses coolers for drinks is not right. However, I myself even considered it. I'd rather piss someone off for "stealing" a water than having heat stroke. We took off and went to publix. I bought a case of water, a case of beer, a cooler and ice for anyone that wanted some. If you didn't want people drinking your water, then you should have kept an eye on it or left it in your car. If people are hot and thirsty and the only place for water is your cooler... guess what. People will drink it.

Call me crazy, but the only people I hear complaining are the event planners.

If you can't handle the heat, don't volunteer to plan an event.

Please don't take this message as disrespect. I appreciate everything that you did for us yesterday, and all the hard work that went in to planning this event. I consider many of you good friends and would do anything for you.

Again. thanks for everything. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next one. Maybe I'll plan one when the heat dies down a little over on this coast. It's our turn to deal with the BS

pics coming soon

The SuperMeet was on a Saturday. 65-75 S2000's is a pretty damn great turnout.

Dario (and whoever helped him out-Warren, Di, etc) deserves a hell of alot of credit & thanks for putting on this event.

Well.. Lets address this..

Hide my cooler? I'm sorry.. but what the fock are you talking about? I cannot expect simple respect?

as far as suggestions... trust me when i tell you.. no matter what... there is a better way... the responses are meant for the participants to learn.. consider them... suggestions for next year...

Those answers I posted were to real questions.

With respect to:
"
Call me crazy, but the only people I hear complaining are the event planners.
"

I was truly asked... " can we make it closer.. " followed by.. " we need a better group drive next time.. "
in short.. 1 person b*tching about too far.. and 1 person b*tching about not far enough...
You may think so, but the comments/suggestions in this thread are only carry-overs from yesterday.

as far as..
" please don't take this message as disrespect "..
I can't determine a way to interpret..
" if you can't handle the heat, don't volunteer to plan an event "
with any respect whatsoever... i'm totally dumbstruck.. and am truly offended...

.. its a focking dumbazz statement..
" if you can't handle the heat, don't volunteer to plan an event "

at least i'd taken a moment to structure the original post w/ some amount of respect... how about..

" if you are going to a park for an entire day.. odds are. you'll be thirsty.. bring water.. "
" if you don't like the heat of august... and the event is outside, then don't come "

Consider that you've just effectively told 3 people, who have been trying to create the excitement for 3 months to get this thing to be as big as it was, that you really don't care if we feel offended by the remarks..

This post is haphazard at best.. i'm just too annoyed to clarify the thought.

agi/ wuchan / danny / awd / zdave ( who didn't even come ) / larry / alex (thanks for the pics ) / and anyone else... thank you for thanking first... putting truly constructive thought into statements.. before offering suggestions..

It never would have dawned on me.. hot days will make people thirsty... wow! i'm a changed person...

What gets me is that people bitch and moan about a particular event, and how *they* would have planned it & how it would be so much better.

You think you can do better--you plan the next one, OK?

Dario--you did a great job on this event (and that thanks goes to whoever helped you out also). I think it was Warren who mentioned that he & Dario/Di spent about $200, if not more, on this event. If you attended this meet, you should cough up a few bucks to the organizers. Warren/Dario/Di-shoot me a PAYPAL address.

Great job again to all who worked on this event
