Unhappy Where to get work done

Hello,

I am new to Honda. I have driven M3's and mini for years. Just bought a 2004 and did a track day at homestead. My clutch is slipping. I will replace and add lightweight flywheel along with better brake pads, fluid for track use. I have no idea where to go for Honda work. Thanks!

If you are in the Miami/Hialeah area you can go to JDM Motorsports.

I have taken my S there for all my major upgrades and installations. This includes several clutch installs (long story). Jared (owner and mechanic) and Eli (shop manager) are great guys also, Eli is on this forum under "R1 Ricer".

They do installs, custom builds, and have a Dyno in the shop.

Oh on a side note the reason why the clutch is slipping might be caused buy the delay valve in the slave cylinder. I could be wrong but here a post about it anyways https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=22&t=282205

^ Good point. I forgot about that when we talked on the phone.

When I asked a friend about the clutch job, RAW Racing was recommended by them too. Since I've done most of my own work on my car (the dealer has done a couple warrantee repairs), I don't have any direct experience.

So, Flat6 Motorworks is not a dedicated Porsche shop?

miamirice , As Highwaystar said this might be the Clutch slave cylinder. I had the same happen while on the track.
I bought the 03 slave ($60) and changed it myself. Easy job and seemed to resolve the issue. In fact, it grabs quite nicely now without having to change the clutch. However, if you have already damaged the clutch it might not resolve the issue but you still should change the slave.
