We just got power and phone back.

Laurie and I are fine, and the critters are fine too. We had a lot of tree limb damage and lost a Mahogany and one beautiful old Live Oak tree.

My brother flew down from N.J to help with the clean up and after 4 days of steady work, we have all of the fallen material cleaned up. Now I have to repair about 100' of fencing.

On the lighter side, Laurie and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on Monday, the day Wilma hit. Due to all of the distractions from preparation and weathering the actual storm, both of us forgot about it until we received a phone call from her parents to say "happy anniversary". Neither one of us had gotten a present. That afternoon I was able to go out and get a chain saw, so we are now calling this our "chain saw anniversary".

Well back in office and have power here - we do not expect power in Lighthouse Point until sometime just before Thanksgiving.

My little yellow car got small debris damage all over it including a number of gouges in the new carbon fiber hood. Front spoiler is broke and the headlights are sandblasted.

Have appointment on Friday to get claim filed. Will make separate post for Sunshine Collision in boca as I will get two party check from Geico.

Just got power back (Halloween, lunchtime)! Car made it through ok. In fact, I had a full tank of gas in it, and I headed up to Asheville, NC on Tues. to visit the folks for 5 days and escape the mess. Just got back last night. Glad to hear most everyone made it through unscathed.

Mitch, I didn't know you were still up there - maybe we could have met up and had a nice drive in the mountains! Maybe it's in my head, but I could swear with the Comptech intake and temps in the 40s, there was addtl. throttle response.
