Wilma Check in
^^
Sorry but where would people go?? Unless you have family who has power, or have money to get a hotel room.. you really aren't going anywhere and are just sticking through it all. My sis and bro in law don't have power and they're still at their house.

nah i meant if the roads are just traffic and people trying to drive to other counties or wherever.(and is it that farfetched that people spend a couple nights in a hotel??if they own houses in miami, then i think they have some hotel money.)..
oh,and is there any flooding at all?.

Thank's for all the well-wishes on our memorable anniversary!
Nope, no flooding except in very isolated areas. Wilma was a fast, relatively dry storm, and we don't live below sea level like the unfortunate folks in New Orleans.
Even more people are without power in Broward. I'm one of the lucky ones that got power back, many others are being told it will be another 2-3 weeks for restoration. And due to my good fortune Kim's power problem is solved for now
.
And, for anyone looking for Honda generators, Burkhard's has a bunch. They're located on the east side of University about 1/4 mile north of Griffin Road.

Good to hear you guys are doing better.
This morning they said about 75% of the power has been restored, but there will be areas that may not get power back until mid December!!
That's nuts!!
From what I hear, parts of Boca, Coral Springs, Davie, and lots of Miami have power now. Downtown Ft. Lauderdale is back to work, but I think they are still trying to get everything up and running.
Probably not the best time to be asking, but is anyone going to Ft. Myers this weekend?

I whether stay at home with no electricity, water or phone, than a hotel. Besides grilling and barbecueing everyday is kinda fun. Its like camping without the mosquito bites.
