Actually, despite my hate of them, tabloids often post "news worthy" articles long before mainstream newspapers.
Why? Because they don't corroborate their sources and verify their stories with any kind of journalistic integrity (if such a thing even exists), so they can go to press much earlier than a "normal" paper or mag can.
