Post 2010 Sigma Racing Time Attack Series! Mosport DDT!

Hello Car Enthusiasts,

Sigma Racing Time Attack Series (SRTA Series) (www.sigmatimeattack.com<http://www.sigmatimeattack.com>) was formed by a group of racing enthusiasts who wanted more from the usual lapping days without the immense cost and commitment of pursuing racing in existing racing sanction bodies. SRTA welcomes all drivers from licensed professionals to beginners to come to our events and tune their cars, improve their driving, compete in our time attack and have fun in a safe environment.

Our events feature:

- Your own personal lap-timer for the first 6 hours of test and tune from 9:00am to 3:00pm to tune and test your vehicles’ set-up.

- Running leader board throughout the day to objectively measure your performance against other participants.

- Official Time Attack at the end of the day from 3:00pm to 5:00pm where participants can put their skills to the test and place on our leaderboard.

- Maximum of 45 cars to ensure driving without traffic and line ups.

- Prizes for the fastest racers, and other perks and bonuses for all participants at the event.

- 50% Refund Rain Day Guarantee Program for all prepaid participants. (see our site for details)

- Pre-registered price of only $165 CAD (tax included) for an entire day of competitive racing and fun!

SRTA has 4 events for the year 2010:

Sunday, May 30
Sunday, June 27
Sunday July 25
Sunday, August 22

For more information, please check out: www.sigmatimeattack.com
If you have any questions regarding the SRTA series events, we will be more than happy to answer them within the thread.

Thank you very much for your time everyone!

Hello s2kobsession,

We don't have a s2000 pre-registered for the the June 27th event yet. On May 30th, we had a blazing fast silver s2k that looked like it was mostly stock (check out our leaderboard http://www.sigmatimeattack.com/?page_id=22). I'm not sure if he's a member on this board, but he's an excellent driver.

Hello Andrew,

Our team spent months researching and designing timing systems for our events, and was strongly favouring RFID type systems. This is because it'd be the easiest for us to manage - we receive lap times on the fly.

However, in the end we decided on the AimSport MyChron Light TG (bottom of page http://www.sigmatimeattack.com/?page_id=2), which is an IR system. This is because we want our racers to have their own display unit in their cars, so the racers will get the lap times on the fly, not us. Although this is much harder for us to manage, but it's 100X better for our racers because as soon as they cross the finish line, they'll immediately know if they were faster or slower, without having to pit in, park the car, and check the display board.

It's really really fun!

P.S. BTW, is there a way to multi-quote on this forum?

Im curious to why he started building a track car with a Yaris ROFL. Is it cause its cheap, light...? Its not exactly the lowest car to the ground ever is it?
