So the plan is to do it all in one day? That is alot of driving in one day. Wow wee.

You can do it in one day, the last meet we did 17 hours driving. It is five hours one way to Watkins Glen from my hometown. If people want to stay the night you can make it more liesurely and enjoy the region at a slower pace the next day. Some members may be staying the night.

I'm working on the proposed drive route and time right now, I should be posting that up in the next day or so. I'm going to propose meeting up around 11:30am to 12 noon in the Finger Lakes NY region. This allows people from Ontario to leave their home around 6 am. We can do the Watkins Glen Raceway Thunder Road tour at 5pm, and be done by 5:30 for the end of the day and everyone can head home from there.

Is there going to be a pre meet in Ontario before heading across the border?

On the last event to Watkins Glen we had a meeting location on the QEW Niagara, near Fruitland. I don't recall the exact address off hand but it is one of the larger gas stations and food centers. That would be a good spot to meet as we have people coming from various areas of Southern Ontario. Timing is really important with these meets and drives so we can get to the planned driving areas on time, if anyone is late we will have to leave without them and they will have to use their GPS to get to the locations in NY (very easy though). I will post all addresses for all meeting spots.

I would like to do this. Do you need a firm yes? I'll have a better idea if I can make it as we approach the date. Too many variables in my life lol.

Hey Shawn, no commitments needed on this. The beauty of this meet is that it works as well with 4 people as it does with 20. The rain date variable can play havoc with people's schedule so I totally understand how people might not be able to make it. Whoever shows up at the meeting point on the morning of the event is just fine with me. I will be posting up a schedule shortly.
