Works out to around 700-800$ more in parts & ECU + labour to swap out the valve cover and sensors
Only thing that would deter me from a kpro would be if I ever wanted to run E85 and go with a flex fuel set up.
Beyond that, I went with an AEM v2 purely not to deal with the kpro hassle right away. On a supercharger it would probably take a whole hours worth of time to swap everything out so I figure screw it

Wonder how that would work on a turbo setup, a little bit sketchy rolling around with a factory ECU/injectors on a turbo.

Swap ECU, Injectors, MAP sensor, remove SC belt, swap the secondary o2 sensor back in (right now disconnected for my AEM wideband)
For a turbo, I would probably think it would be easier considering you don't build boost right off the bat.
If you really wanted to go through being a 100% sure, keep the cool side in place, swap out the hotside for the oem stuff.

Actually, not familiar with turbos enough to know if this is possible, but is there a way to disconnect the exhaust turbine from the intake impeller?
In theory it wouldn't spin the impeller and thus not create any boost.

You have the right idea, but the oem intake is on the "cold side"' throttle body. So you would remove a coupler and just put a filter for the time being working as a regular intake I guess. Seems kinda ghetto, hence why I'm team kpro

I guess I could always remove the coupling between turbo supply and intercooler add a filter, swap ECU' and injectors just for an Etest. Turbo will boost but not enter the intake manifold. Anyone here ever do this? It may be ghetto but only temporary to pass Ontario's ghetto ETest.

Turbo or supercharger leaving the belt on.....plain and simple.... just stay out of boost. I never remove my belt for emissions. All I do is swap in stock ecu and injectors. Welding in another bung for a wide band could even save you time to swap in the oem 02 sensors.

Eventually will swap the oem header out for something which has another bung on there.

^^^ why wouldn't you want to go kpro, it is the solution to the problem you have. You want to go FI but don't want the hassle of having to switch parts over when its e test time. Yeah kpro and all of the swap parts will cost maybe 500 or so more then a plug and play EMS but you still get pretty good tuning capabilities. I myself will change over to kpro when I decide to fork out the cash
For Kpro you need parts from 06+ s2000, only the PRB ecu is from a dc5

KPro for me is not an option, don't see the need to swap anything when I can have far superior plug and play tuning compared to KPro. Don't get me wrong, KPro is very good however AEM is far better in the right hands.
