When do you want it?
I'll be up in February.

I have the same question. Im thinking of ordering some wheels. What is the best way to avoid paying duty?

Unless you can cram the order up your back passage and walk it over the border you'll likely have to pay something.

Get them to declare the cost at a much lower value, have them ship it can post or go and pick it up, install it and then hope they don't notice.

Other then that you'll have an issue.

If you can possibly do it, have it sent by postal service. Canada Post's brokerage fee is only 5 bucks. UPS and FedEX should be avoided as much as possible. Their brokerage fees are horrendous. Purolator is a better alternative for the big items.

duty is probabily the biggest issue here, I paid nearly five bills for all my items

What Vince suggested would be your best bet...I specificly asked the distributor to put 900CAN as the value of my Amuse exhaust before it was shipped out.

I think if you declare the item a gift there is no charge at all. Not sure but worth a try.

And vendors will usually NOT do this. They are in a very precarious position if they falsify the declaration of their goods. The only thing you can do is to have it sent to someone in the country where the vendor is and then have that someone send it to you as a "gift".
