Default Buying an used S2000

Hey guys,

I test drove an 2001 S2000 lastnight and wanted to get your thoughts on the price.

It is spa yellow with 50K kms, spoiler, side flares, front lip, new tires, stereo and some other goodies.

The seller mentioned that car was in a minor accident according to the previous owner.

From what me and my friend can tell, it look pretty legit though.

Well, the price we came too was $24,500.

What do yall think? I will have the carfax information later tonight when he emails me the VIN and also results from the compression test.

I'd be a little leary because that is a fantastic price. Get the car checked out entirely before you buy.

I would buy one from one of the guys that are selling on this board. This way you know it's history. It may cost you some extra $, but it may end up being cheaper......

The price did seem to good to be true so I am most definitely having it fully check out.

I have a few question for guys.

1) Does the F20C use a belt for chain to control the timing?

2) How much does an stock S2000 put down on a dynojet NOT dynapack?

3) What is the average trap speed in the 1/4 mile?

thanks.
