Default CAI, stock filter, or K&N

I'm at 17,000km and my air filter is looking in need of replacement. I've done a search about Cold Air Intakes on these forums, but there is too much information that I'm kind of confused.

I'm worried about the durability of CAI, more specifically their ability to get wet and hydrolock motors. I'm not mechanically inclined and my S is totally stock. If someone could give me a list of pros and cons vs. stock air box/filter, k&n or non-stock air filter vs. Cold Air Intake that'd be great? If you could let me know what you are using and why that'd be great? Also with a Cold Air Intake do you need to change exhaust or ECU to see any significant gains.

Im using 4IG CAI. I like it because of the sound. Steeley, Jasonoff and myself dynoed our cars a few weeks ago and we were all around the same output (200whp). Jay's car was stock with the top cover removed and Steeley has the AEM CAI.

no intake system will give you significant gains for the S2000.

Throttle response will be improved however.

I'm using the Spoon CF duct/Spoon filter combo and I like it.

I think is a little more bling over functionality. Tends to suck up a lot of dirt, and birds though.

Minimal modification is required for this combo.

OEM filter is around $70
Have you considered Muz's replica intake duct?

Our CAI's did add about 4 lbs of torque though
