I find the word cute offensive when it is applied to to the S2000
Cute works just fine for a Fiat 500 or a VW Bug, but cute is not a good fit for an S

 

If some hot girl came up to you and said, "You look cute!" Are you going to take offence to it?
Will you get upset because she thinks your 'only cute'?

I find that girls don't have the vocab, when it comes to cars, to describe them in any other way.
It's either cute, hot, sexy or shiney. And really, the girl could say anyone of those things and still mean the same thing.

Now if a guy is calling your car cute....that's a whole nother story.

 

This made me lol pretty hard.

I've had a neighbour come up to me before and tell me that it was "such a pretty car" but never cute.
Mind you this was also the same neighbour that came over to my buddy's 350Z and said "...is that one of those Miatas? Very nice.".

 

Why would I take offense to that, I was talking about the S being called cute, the subject of this thread...
BTW- I am cute so there is no problem with a girl telling me so
My car though is not cute, and if she calls it that I will help her find a more appropriate term

 

A guy at work ribbing me . " Hey, you can carry your purse in your CR-V and you can wear your high heels in your S2000 " . I even had a good laugh . He drives a 2005 Chevy Impala . Nuf said.

 

Honestly one drive in our cars and a girl will quickly change her mind about what to call it...so if YOU think the girl is cute then what are you waiting for?

And if she decides she doesnt like you calling her cute then you can tell her to change your mind

 

i've gotten...
"that's a cute car" - mostly from silver foxes or cougars
and i've also gotten...
"hey, nice miata" - that one pisses me off...
in both cases i usually correct the person and say "it's not cute...a miata is cute"...or "it's not a miata, this car has a set", lol

 

I brought my car to work yesterday for the first time. All three woman at the office commented it was cute. They also referred to it as my wife's car. Anyway once I took each of them for a drive and scared the shit out of them their opinion of the car quickly changed. I agree woman generally are limited when it comes to their description of cars. IE, yes officer it was a red car, ya, I'm sure it was red. Case closed.
