First 2016 (or will it be 2017?) NSX Test Drive

After seeing the video the NSX looks like a great all around daily driver that you can take to the track, I do like that aspect of it, just not at $170,000 US.
It is at such a funny price point now, the earlier projection was a much better price point IMO. I could buy a Porsche GT4 and still send my kid to university/college with the savings. If I didn't have children I could put in a few more bucks over the NSX and buy that Ferrari I always wanted lol.

Well, like most car enthusiasts, I wanted a 9000rpm V8 making oodles of power in a light body because I love normal aspirated engines and sports cars. The thing is, you have to allow the industry to move forward, and that means new technologies.
I hated the hybrid system when I first heard about it. Then I started thinking at some point, they have to stop internal combustion because it is outdated, polluting and slow compared to the likes of Tesla. So, after changing my thought process a bit, I think the hybrid system is good for the current climate. Electric, instant torque is a very good thing.
The old NSX was a everyday supercar that was out to beat the Ferrari of its day (328). Quick, but still a user friendly car you could use everyday. It did it. The new NSX has the same philosophy. Not the fastest car in the world, but cutting edge tech in a package that is user friendly for everyday drivers.

The headline "2017 Acura NSX: The Slowest Supercar in the World?" is total click bait, but it definitely doesn't seem like that fun to drive. The review is a bit confusing about what they actually think about torque vectoring. Initially they seem to say it's good for slow corners but not fast sweepers, but towards the end they basically say it allows the car to defy all kinds physics.
Reading teh accompanying article though makes it sound like a friggin' beast, at least in "track" mode (http://www.motortrend.com/news/2017-...-drive-review/)
