Default First time on the track - Cayuga TMP

Went to Cayuga TMP this past Sunday. Can't believe I've had my car for almost 5 years and I have never tracked it!

This video is just a few laps on my 05 S2K @ TMP. GoPro camera mounted on the front bumper. 1st lap is really slow but the 3rd/4th are a bit better. I found it quite challenging on the turns to keep the rear end in check. It was about 13C at Cayuga that day so the tires had a bit of an issue getting warm enough and hooking up. All in all, it was an awesome experience. Can't wait to go back and start practicing!

Thanks! I have had the car for almost 5 years and I've gotten to know it a little - especially on some wet summer days LOL. Nothing compares to a track experience though. I'm hooked!

My best lap time was 1:29 (rough estimate based on the videos I got). My first few laps were like 1:45 LOL. The car is completely stock. For tires i'm running the Hankook Ventus V12s - definitely not the best tire but decent for tread wear and everyday driving.

LOL that was just the intake cover removed. I had just changed the air filter on the weekend at the rents place and forgot the cover there. If anything, that was probably taking away power from sucking in all the hot engine air. It was cool enough it may have not made much of a difference though - who knows.
