I posted this in my local forum up top (Ottawa), but im thinking I may have better luck here.

Do any members in the T.O. area have an after market final drive gear set installed on their S? Im wanting to buy 4.57-R gears but looking for an experienced installer to do the work. They say it is key when having this done and I just don't want to have any mechanic do it. I contacted Speed Star, via e-mail, to see if they may be able to do the job. I noticed on their site some of their shop cars have final drives installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Speedstar would be a great place to start.

But to save you the drive, I have no doubt that Tapp would be able to handle the job with no problems

I thought of Speed Star based on the cars on their site. They seem to all have FD gear sets in them. I have sent them an email and awaiting a reply to see if they can perform the job. I would much rather a shop that has done FD's do the work, especially one that has done them on the S.

That is good to know I think I will PM Matrix, and call Speed Star tomorrow to see what they charge for install etc.

Is he the only T.O. member with an aftermarket FD? Im sure there are a few others.

Albert and Speed-staaaah guys are at the Tokyo auto show now. Probably won't hear back from them till after the 21st I think their site says!
