H2, worth it?
Anyone here driven/own a H2 or have experience with it? Is it worth the money considering you're paying 85k?
Family is thinking of getting rid of the old POS jeep and replacing it with a new vehicle since winter's getting closer and the old jeep seems like having infinity mechanical problems to fix...
I'm not really familiar with hummers, but do they have those usual problems that normal jeeps have (IE: coolant leaks, 4wd switch maintance, often brakes replacement etc). Regardless of the consuming gas problem, is it reliable for a year'round driving?
There's many pictures floating on the internet showing some people drove their H2 and stuck on some objects. Is it that easy to get stucked with H2? Becuase the jeep that we have right now, which been through many really bad weather conditions and it's been doing fine. But the countless fixing and money thrown into it is really pissing me off.
Let me know what do you think...opinions will be appreciated...!

don't do it, it's an ostentatious waste of resources, money, and space on the road. It says as much about the owner as it does about his/her attitude towards others.
That being said, if it makes you happy, go nuts.

An expensive shell...I'm not really bothered with the width/length of the car...it's the engine and reliability of the car itself...I don't want to get the car brand new and after 2 or 3 years, it starts having problems like the jeep we're having right now.
Jay, what's so bad about H2's engine/interior?

H2's are overrated! If you actually go into the cabin it's not as big as you would imagine. I would go with someething like an MDX or even and LX 470. Why do you want an H2 so bad? You have the military attraction to a Hummer?

I just think it's an over rated GM plastic mobile. Now the H1... that's a different story. The H2 is just a wannabe for the same price tag.
It's like making a civic look like a ferrari and selling it for the ferrari price tag.
